Hey there! Thanks for taking the time to at least consider contacting me – I do so love getting stuff from people.

I do want to take a moment and make a single point, if you don’t mind, before you hit “send.” Remember, I am a real person with actual thoughts, opinions, feelings, etc. I always try to remember that when I converse with others, and I expect anyone who talks to me will treat me the same way. So if what you’re sending me isn’t something you could say to your mother, or your sister, or your daughter, then please don’t send it. So just be nice. It’s really not that hard to do. I don’t mind disagreeing opinions, nor do I mind fact-correcting (if no one ever corrected me, I’d be the biggest freaking idiot ever – but keep in mind that an opinion is not the same as a fact, even if it’s a strong one) – but I do mind being called “stupid fat bitch” and the like.

When you send stuff like that, you sound like my ex. I don’t like my ex. He’s an ex for a reason.
